Tyler helped design and test the ION prototypes, and is a co-inventor of the ION. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with an MS in mechanical engineering. Tyler brings multiple skills to the company, which include conceptual design, patent application development, and
critical thinking.
Ron Millman
Mechanical Design
Ron helped design the original ION, and is a co-inventor. He continues to support our work through additional mechanical designs on ION improvements, patent applications, and website design. Ron has worked in multiple start-up companies, notably in advanced semiconductor laser imaging system design and photonic device technology.
Livia Motz
Research
Livia received her BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with a focus on atmospheric water technology, and has worked in industrial manufacturing. Livia’s work on ION process development and focused research projects continue to advance our understanding of silver-ion technology.
Sarah Surban
Sales and Marketing
Sarah has 15 years of international sales and marketing experience in several major corporate entities. She excels at cultivating partnerships and building lasting relationships, bridging cross-functional teams and successfully implementing sales plans to generate revenue. She has also worked with international donors and impact investors to support entrepreneurs. Sarah is guiding our ION commercialization effort.
Tatyana Melnik
Field Missions
Tatyana is a Vice President at Eastern Bank in Needham, MA. She is a graduate of Suffolfk University with a major in business and finance. Tatyana has travelled internationally and is on our Field Missions Team.

David Elliott
President/CEO
David founded Silver Aqua in 2011, focusing on solutions to the global drinking water crisis. He also founded Village Forward, a 501 (c) (3) private operating foundation. Village Forward’s Aquasif household drinking water system, now installed in >250,000 homes, paved the way for development of the ION, both based on ionic-silver to kill waterborne bacteria.
Robert Connor
Chief Financial Officer, Director
Bob has been a CFO/Comptroller for over 30 years. He has a BS in Accounting from Boston College. Bob is a CPA with considerable experience in manufacturing technology. As our CFO, Bob brings a needed and valuable asset to Silver Aqua from his many years in corporate accounting & financial management.
Edward Scribner
Director
Ed is a graduate of Boston College with an MBA from Columbia University and an MS in Taxation from Bentley University. He is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts, and an international tax consultant. He is also Trustee of the Asian American Civic Association Trust, and director of a private investment bank. Ed Scribner is well
known in the banking and investment world, and has played a key role in securing operating capital for Silver Aqua.
Dr. Homa Safaii
Director
Dr. Safaii is a retired physician who specialized in pathology. She worked at Tufts New England Medical Center as a physician and professor of pathology for 38 years. She also worked as Good Samaritan Medical Center for 7 years. Her empathy and advice for children in need of safe drinking water helped us define our ION commercialization plan.
Lilia Clemente

Lilia has many years of international experience as an investment analyst. She is the founder of Clemente Capital, and serves as a Managing Member and Global Strategist for Clemente Advisors. Lilia is considered a pioneer in emerging financial markets. Lilia’s energy and corporate advice is a valuable asset to the company.

Marketing
Marty holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA, both from Boston College. Marty’s expertise in marketing is critical in guiding the commercialization of our products. He has participated actively in the development and strategy toward The ION’s commercialization.
Varuna Tuli, MD
Field Test Programs
Dr. Varuna Tuli grew up in Varanasi, India. During her medical training in India, she received first-hand experience with malnutrition, respiratory illness, and diarrheal disease. She moved to the U.S. for further studies and is currently the Medical Director of Outpatient Pediatrics at Franciscan Hospital for Children. She also maintains a private practice while being a wife and mother. Varuna’s skills and experience are directed toward our ION field test programs. Varuna is well connected in the field of pediatric medicine and her contacts in developing countries are invaluable.
William B. Stason, MD, MSc
Field Test Programs
Dr. Stason has devoted most of his professional career to health policy, technology assessment, and health services research. He is an internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist. He graduated from the University of Michigan, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. He has served on the faculties of the two latter schools. He was also a senior scientist at the Heller School of Brandeis University, and has authored numerous books and scientific articles. Bill provides valuable insight and direction to our field test programs.
Don Reid
Finance
Don is a financial professional and subject matter expert in corporate finance, underwriting, and project finance. Don has spent 30 years in senior positions at the Environmental Protection Agency, Bank of America, and Westpac Banking Corporation. Don is multicultural and Spanish speaking. Don’s advice and practical input to our marketing and finance projects have been very useful.
