David Elliott
Founder & President
As Founder & President of Silver Aqua in Concord, MA, David Elliott has dedicated the past 13 years to seeking solutions to the global drinking water crisis. He also founded Village Forward, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with operational headquarters in Kahtmandu, Nepal. Together with Hem Pohkarel, David invented and patented the Aquasif household water treatment system. He has an AA degree from Allan Hancock College, a BS degree from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Boston College. He is also a Rotary International Phil Harris Fellow.
Edward Scribner
Financial Consultant, Director
Ed Scribner is an international tax consultant. He is the former director and current trustee for the Asian American Civic Association Trust (CCECCT). Ed is also the director of a private investment bank located in Nevis-St. Ketts. He was a director of Asian American Bank and Trust as well as Education Matters Inc. He also served as International Financial Director of Ionics, Inc. (now G.E.). He is a graduate of Boston College, with an MBA from Columbia University and a Master’s degree from Bentley University.
Tyler Albee
Advisor
Graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2014 with an MS in Mechanical Engineering, Tyler was integral in the design and early test stages of Silver Aqua’s portable ION. A co-inventor on one of Silver Aqua’s patents, Tyler brings knowledge and understanding of how the water treatment device was created, its intended use, and new application developments in the future.
Kathryn Kenney
Biology Lab Specialist
As a recent Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate in 2022, Kathryn uses her BS in Biology and Biotechnology working as Silver Aqua, Inc.’s Biology Lab Specialist. In the laboratory, Kathryn is performing experiments to optimize the proprietary solution for the ION technology as well as to evaluate the lifetime of the ION. Outside of the laboratory, she is working on completing research and writing a technical compendium, as well as assisting with the writing of patent applications. Besides working for Silver Aqua, Inc., Kathryn spends some evenings and weekends on the ambulance as an EMT.
Amir Shahsavari
Advisor, Homa Foundation
Amir Shahsavari is a speech-language pathologist who has been practicing for 14 years. He recently earned a second MS in Healthcare Administration and Management. In addition, Amir is the Vice President of the Small Property Owners Association. He has advocated for small ‘Mom and Pop’ housing providers at government hearings and in the media.
Lilia Clemente
Director
Serving as a Managing Member and Global Strategist for Clemente Advisors (CA), Lilia Clemente has over 40 years of experience as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, global investment strategist, and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Clemente Capital, Inc. and is considered one of the pioneers in emerging markets She also served as the First Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Internal Investments at Paine Webber Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management. Prior to that, from 1967-1977, Lilia was the first woman and youngest officer in the Ford Foundation’s history as Director of Investment Research and Assistant Treasurer and spurred the globalization of its $3 billion portfolio.
Homa Safaii
Director
Dr. Safaii is a retired physician who specialized in pathology. She worked at Tufts New England Medical Center as a physician and professor of pathology for 38 years. She also worked at Good Samaritan Medical Center for 7 years before her retirement in 2016.
Alan Ford
Advisor
As Vice President of Rhode Island Analytical Laboratories, Alan brings more than 35 years of laboratory analysis and environmental assessment experience. His work entails problem solving, project planning, and the development of innovative solutions for important industrial, large commercial, and key municipal clients.
Livia Motz
Advisor
Livia is passionate about clean water access. She worked in industrial manufacturing with diverse teams to simplify designs for ease of fabrication, from the order placement to the delivery process. Livia earned her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, studying atmospheric water condensation. As a BS student, she worked for Silver Aqua, Inc. running bacterial deactivation tests on the 2nd generation ION prototype, and conducting market research.
William
B. Stason, MD, Msc
Advisor
William B. Stason, MD, MSc, an internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist, has devoted most of his professional career to health policy analysis, technology assessment, and health services research. He graduated from the University of Michigan, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard School of Public Health. Bill served on the faculties of the latter two schools. He was also a senior scientist at the Heller School of Brandeis University. He has authored numerous books and scientific articles.
Robert M. Connor
Chief Financial Officer, Director
Bob Connor has been a CFO/Controller for 30 years. Before joining Silver Aqua, he spent most of his career working for an injection molding plastic manufacturer, and then as a national defense contractor after obtaining his CPA certificate. He has a BS in Accounting from Boston College, an Executive MBA from Stanford University, and completed the MBA program at Babson College.
Martin GAvin

As Principal of Gavin Financial Services, Marty provides deep financial expertise to individuals and corporations. He is a board member of UV Tech Systems and an original member of the Village Forward board. A retired Major in the United States Air Force Reserves, Marty has extensive worldwide travel experience. He has a BS in Marketing and an MBA, both from Boston College.
Lubab Sheet-Davis

Lubab Sheet-Davis is Vice President, Strategy and Innovation in the Office of the CTO, at Lam Research. Lubab leads a team that manages a portfolio of innovation programs and events. She is an executive sponsor of Women@Fremont, an employee resource group focused on advancing early to mid-career women. In 2019, Lubab was the recipient of the Silicon Valley Tribute to Women Award from the YWCA for outstanding achievements in the workplace and beyond. Lubab holds a BS in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
VAruna Tuli, MD

Varuna Tuli, MD grew up in Varanasi, India. During her medical training in India, she received first-hand experience with malnutrition, respiratory illness, and diarrheal disease. She moved to the U.S . for further studies and is currently the Medical Director of Outpatient Pediatrics at Franciscan Hospital for Children. She also maintains a private practice while being a wife and mother. Her combination of clinical expertise and cultural skills will be directed toward field testing the Silver Aqua ION so children can be in charge of their own gastrointestinal health.
